Why, hello there :)
Hey there, and welcome.
I’m very new to blogging, though I have considered blogging
a long time ago, many times. A few weeks ago I finally decided that I need to
write down things that I find interesting, saddening, inspirational, worth sharing,
etc. And it’s mostly because I have given up on writing a diary a long time
ago. Well, let’s leave that at that.
This is a fairly odd time to start blogging, because I have
my final A2 CIE going on. In fact, I have a Chemistry paper tomorrow. Speaking of
exams, CIE isn’t easy, it’s very exam oriented and all you have to do is
memorize, memorize and memorize. Well, at least for the science and a few arts
subjects. For those who enjoy the subjects and are willing to learn, instead of
blindly memorizing, it wouldn’t be such a tough course. But for me, I don’t
fancy all the subjects that I’m taking, only one.
It’s ironic actually, because, through all my primary and
secondary school life, I have been against the typical Malaysian 100%
exam-oriented education. And now, for my Pre-U course, I have chosen yet another
similar education structure. I believed (and still do) that students should not
just memorize whatever there is in the textbook, and later vomit it out during
the exam. Instead, they should be assessed in various aspects, through class
quizzes, homework, assignments, etc. That’d be a much better way to shape a
wholesome individual. In my opinion, anyway.
I spend most of my free time reading English novels, usually
the bestsellers. And it was from reading that I found my favorite hobby to be writing.
I write about almost anything, driven by my emotions most of the time, poems
just to pass time while waiting for the never-punctual public bus, phrases for
the fun of it, and when I’m in a really good mood, a short story. I would
update my blog from time to time with my scribbles, feel free to read and leave
comments (:

you know I felt the same too when you mention that all we do in A level is memorize, memorize and MEMORIZE!! I thought that the course structure would be very much different than primary and secondary school. Oh, how wrong was I! Anyways, I just want to say you have an awesome blog! keep doing what you are doing because I know that in your heart you believe and love what you do -writing =)
